About me
Professional Background
Undergraduate degree in Global Studies, Master's Degree in Adult Education & Training. I have worked in many roles, including some time in AmeriCorps in refugee resettlement and at Habitat for Humanity. After obtaining my Master's degree, I taught ESOL/ESL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) for several years. Most recently I've been working as an Instructional Designer at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In this role, I support and advise subject matter experts throughout of the process of creating and launching MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) and other non-credit-bearing courses.
Personal interests
I love the outdoors, especially hiking and rock climbing. I enjoy cooking and good food. Since the pandemic prevented me from doing the elliptical at the gym, I've learned to not hate running by distracting myself by listening to audiobooks. Since then, I've grown to love audiobooks almost enough to make me want to go for a run.
