About me
Uzma Danish is an Interdisciplinary Social Research (IDSR) doctoral student at Trent with a master’s in social work from York University. Uzma is a sectional instructor who researched and published on child welfare, immigration, employment, and aging. While promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within her local community and the broader society, her professional and volunteer commitments embody her passion for working with individuals and groups socially stigmatized, marginalized and sidelined from meaningful community participation. Uzma is an Ontario Graduate Student Award recipient, co-chair of the Canadian Association of Social Work Education student committee, and Trent Graduate Student Association Equity Commissioner.
