About me
With over 20 years of experience in a variety of educational settings, Dana brings to her work as Senior Education Developer a deep appreciation of instructional and assessment practices that help students develop critical skills. In her former role as an Academic Skills Instructor, Dana provided individual and group support to students working across the disciplines and contributed to the development of several university-wide educational initiatives including the Academic Integrity Module, Trent’s Three Minute Thesis Program, and the Online Learning Student Assistant program. Within the CTL, Dana works to create resources to support faculty’s use of innovative and effective course design, instructional strategies, and assessment practices as well as to celebrate teaching excellence through Trent’s teaching awards. Dana holds a B.A. (hons) in American Studies and Women’s Studies from Carleton College, an M.A. in history from Rutgers University, a Graduate Certificate in Teaching from American University, and an M.Ed. in Educational Studies from Trent University.
